Benjamin, having the little education he had, was also good at reading and writing. He wrote an almanac called Poor Richards almanac which included information on politics, philosophy, and how to get ahead. He also wrote two essays named "The Speech of Miss Polly Baker" and "The Sale of the Hessians".
Music
Ben Franklin also played music. He played several instruments. Some of them were the harp, violin, and the guitar. He also built an instrument called the armonica which was played by touching the edges of the spinning glass with your fingers.
Economist
Ben Franklin helped out with the economy also. He said that the true way to become wealthy was through hard work. He also helped print paper money which helped make the paper currency system. This is a reason why he is on the $100 bill.

Interesting Facts
At the age of 16, Ben experimented vegetarianism to save money so he could by books. Ben was the oldest delegate on July 2, 1776 to sign the Declaration of Independence. Ben Franklin at the age of 81 had so many ailments that he had to be sent to meetings on a sedan chair.
